ABOUT MLOTS
Mlots.com is developed for the industry from within the industry as a natural progression to conventional marine sale and purchase practices.
Peter Moth
MLots founder and managing director is Peter Moth – a name associated with some of the leading titles in commercial marine media.
His track record speaks for itself: founding publisher and editor of Europe’s leading commercial marine magazine Maritime Journal, a founding director of the Seawork exhibitions, editor of a range of authoritative titles such as Motor Ship, Ports International, Ship Chandler, Ship Agent, The HarbourMaster and Quay Notes, and present Secretary of the UK Harbour Masters’ Association. A frequent contributor to industry forums and government working groups, Peter has also written best-selling practical guides to codes of practice such as the Workboat (Brown) Code, the Small Commercial Vessel Code and the International Ship and Port Facility (ISPS) Code.
“The concept behind MLots is simple” explains Peter. “We use modern online technology to bring together buyers and sellers from throughout the commercial marine community. For the first time, in such a focused marketplace, we are able to provide a real-time environment for commerce – and in particular, e-commerce – to be undertaken from a desk top or laptop computer, virtually anywhere.”
Business-to-Business
Mlots is designed primarily for the commercial marine industry to undertake business-to-business commerce. It is not intended for consumer-to-business trade and therefore does NOT represent the leisure craft sector.
Continuous Development
E-commerce is a moving target and the Mlots in-house IT developers are constantly looking at enhancements and improvements to the MLots experience. Should you have any suggestions or comments regarding the operation of the site, please contact: services@mlots.com.
